The neck, upper back, shoulders, and surrounding muscles all participate in movement and function together.
Depending on your history and examination findings, we may look at neck mobility, upper-back movement, muscle tension, posture, and other areas that may be relevant to your presentation.
The purpose is not to say that one area is automatically causing your headaches. It is to gather information about how your musculoskeletal system is moving and determine what may deserve further attention.
What to Expect From a Headache Chiropractic Evaluation
Your visit starts with a conversation.
We may ask about:
- What your headaches feel like
- When they occur
- How often you experience them
- Your health history
- Previous injuries
- Neck or upper-back symptoms
- Work and daily activities
- Movement and posture
- Your individual goals
Dr. Trevor Marum will then perform an appropriate examination based on what you are experiencing.
If something in your history or examination suggests that another type of healthcare evaluation may be appropriate, that can also be part of determining the next step.
